Text effects

On a GlyphGate server you can go beyond the old "Verdana for headings and Times New Roman for body text" concept. Not only can you design your site using almost any font you want, you can also apply different effects to the text in your page to make it look more appealing.

Let's say you are happily designing your new site using your favorite font, when suddenly you realize that you need a condensed version of the font. The problem is that there exists none. So what do you do? Call up the designer of the font and pay him to make a condensed version of the original font? With GlyphGate there is no need for that! You can easily create an artificially condensed font, or an extended one for that matter. Obviously, it may not look as good as if you would have paid a skilled typographer to do the job. You can even rotate the characters or create cool mirror effects! There is also a set of nice color effects that you can apply to your text, including shading and checkerboard text. These effects are great for creating nice eye-caching headlines etc. A bit of css coding is required though, as there are currently no visual editing tools for these sort of effects.
